Statement

Artist Statement 
Living on the beach surrounded by sand, water and native vegetation has given me endless inspiration for my work.  
My journey into jewelry design and fabrication began with the discovery of ancient and amazing beach stones on the Delaware Bay beaches. Each stone is unique in its shape, pattern, and earth toned hue.  Presenting these stones for others to discover and enjoy is my goal. Fabricating wearable art incorporating these stones is my venue. 
Copper, silver and bronze are my metals of choice.  I utilize techniques and equipment for metalsmithing and lapidary.  Each piece is one of a kind and gives me the opportunity to explore the characteristics of the metals to best showcase each unique stone. 
Jewelry design and fabrication has given me the opportunity to be creative and to enter a life long journey of learning and discovery.  Enhancing my ability to appreciate the natural beauty of my environment is important for my personal peace and joy of life.
